Welcome Back to Wealthy Kids Academy and Lessons in Mentorship
Welcome Back to the Wealthy Kids Academy community!
We are so grateful for your continued support as we work together to build strong financial foundations for the next generation. At Wealthy Kids Academy, our mission is simple but powerful: to equip families with the knowledge and tools to create lasting wealth and financial literacy that will benefit their children for years to come.
Event Announcement
We’re thrilled to announce that our Second Annual Junior Business Fair is coming up in March 2025! This is an amazing opportunity for young entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses, gain real-world experience, and connect with their community. If your child has a business or an idea they’d love to develop, we’d love to see them there!

The Power of Mentorship – A Challenge for You and Your Kids
This month, we’re focusing on mentorship—a key to success in life, business, and beyond. A mentor is someone who is further along in a particular skill, trade, or area of life and is willing to share their knowledge and experience.
Did you know that mentorship is a biblical principle?! Me either! But do you remember in Luke chapter 2, we see a young Jesus separate himself from his parents while on their journey back from Jerusalem. When his parents found him, Jesus was in the temple with the priests learning from them and asking them questions. When I read this story, it really hit me that this principle of learning from those who have gone before us is not just a practical tool for people to know but a biblical principle to understand. Finding a mentor can save time, money, and effort while providing guidance, encouragement, and wisdom.
So here’s our challenge for you:
Ask your kids—"if you could be mentored or coached in any area of life right now, what would it be?", and then help them think of someone who could be a mentor for them in that particular area.
Would they love to improve in a sport? Master a school subject? Learn a new skill like coding, videography, a foreign language, or playing an instrument? Maybe they’re curious about careers in medicine, construction, farming, social media, or business. Whatever it is, have this conversation with them and encourage them!
How to Find a Mentor:
Don’t overthink it! A mentor doesn’t have to be an expensive coach or formal teacher. Remember, everyone can learn valuable insight from someone who is just a little further along than they are in the subject area.
Look for someone already excelling in the area your child is interested in—maybe an older student, a local business owner, a teacher, or a friend.
Check within your community—church teams, local businesses, or even a family friend may have valuable experience to share.
Encourage your child to approach the mentor with an offer—free labor, an exchange of skills, or even just treating them to lunch to show appreciation.
We believe that mentorship is a secret to success, and the earlier kids learn to seek guidance, the more doors will open for them in life.
Thank you for being part of the Wealthy Kids Academy family.!
With gratitude,
Amanda Fulmer
