Our Ceiling is Their Floor

A Thought About Parenting

Hello! my fellow wealth builders! We are switching it up this week! You know time is precious and this newsletter tends to be a bit long and takes a little bit of time to read. Not this week my friends!
This one is short, sweet, and to the point! I am totally copying the format of the 3-2-1 newsletter written by the brilliant James Clear!

Enjoy!

Quote of the Week:

“Our Ceiling is Their Floor”
        - Pastor Mike Franklin, The Torch Worship Center

When he made this statement, Pastor Franklin was speaking about our children. He said as parents, our children will begin their lives on the ceiling of our lives. Everything that we have built and accomplished and we look at as our top successes, is just the starting point for our kids. That’s the floor, or foundation, if you will, that they will begin to build their lives on. They will begin where we left off.
May our ceiling be high, strong, stable, and wise so that our kids can soar from there!

Money Tip for the Week:

$10 a week can go a long way!

Take $10/week and invest it into a simple total market fund or dividend-earning investment for your kid. Sit back and watch that money grow! The kids will thank you later!

The longer money is invested, the more time it has to grow.
Thank you compound interest!

If you are going to invest $10 a week, one tool I really love to use is the Greenlight app. Greenlight makes it easy for you to deposit money, pay the kids, and set your investing on AutoPilot. There are tons of other add-ons too like multiple accounts, chore and allowance payments, and even a game that teaches kids the basics of investing.

If you would like to try it, here is my personal link:

Earn $30 when you sign up for Greenlight. With the money app and debit card for kids and teens, we can send our kids money instantly, assign chores, and teach them to earn, save, and invest. https://share.greenlight.com/144924525
